While making our courtesy phone calls, I reached out to a customer, whom we had helped just weeks earlier after her husband passed away. I let her know I was calling to check in on her account, but mostly to see how she was doing. She was overwhelmed that someone would take the time to ask, and we ended up talking for a while; she was relieved to learn she could make interest-only payments and so grateful just to have someone listen. By the end of the call, we were both emotional! it was a simple check-in that truly made a difference.
